ive been pretty bad about posting smoothie recipes lately, but im still drinking them every afternoon. its not entirely my fault im not posting the yumminess i drink every afternoon, toddler2.0 shares some of the blame. recently the stay at home moms worst fear has been recognized…he has given up napping. im pretty sure child1.0 was almost 4 when he gave up naps. this is a crisis here.
its not that toddler2.0 doesnt need the nap. trust me, he does. it hits 1pm and he is a miserable little ball of toddler. i have tried everything. sunggles, movies, making him lay down, begging, running him around outside until im about to fall over. nothing makes this toddler nap except car rides, and i cant sit in the car and hang out while he naps like i used to do. poor child1.0 is held hostage since its summer and hes home, and baby3.0 never naps in the car when toddler2.0 does.
what does lack of naps have to do with lack of smoothie recipes? i try to drink my smoothies during the toddlers nap so i dont have to share. now that he doesnt nap i need to sneak it in while he is busy, and drink it quickly before he runs in the kitchen. its my lunch, not a drink, so i really dont want to share. i tend to mix the smoothies up and down them so quick there isnt time for fun photo ops. ugh. im hoping its just a phase and when child1.0 goes back to school there will be naps in our future again!
