I am so behind on life right now. After we spent the weekend in Hershey, PA on a family vacation I woke up Monday morning last week with the cold from hell. Coughing, aching, Nyquil drinking cold. Needless to say nothing got done blog wise or house wise. It didn’t help the dishwasher was broken making my desire to do anything non existent. My poor children seriously existed on corn dogs, macaroni and cheese and leftovers for a few days there. Fortunately I am feeling better now, and I need to get back into the swing of things.
We went to get the boys photos taken at Adventure to Santa – A DreamWorks DreamPlace for the second year in a row and the boys loved it, again. It is basically a way to keep the kids occupied and amused in line to see Santa and it works like a charm. THe huge “cottage” Santa is in has a LED light show, then once inside you get a virtual sleigh ride to the North Pole. Nobody cried although Michael was not too sure about the whole thing. Jacob loved making his own virtual gingerbread man; he was able to choose the color, face, clothes and more. I thought it was extra cute that I could have ordered one to be made into an ornament if I wanted!
Last year after Christmas I stocked up on Christmas cards and wrapping paper when Target was having their 75% sale. Once I got home from seeing Santa I just had to cut up the photos into individual photos and add them to the cards. Thanks to Mabel’s Labels I had cute holiday address labels with winter animals to use. These labels are festive but not focused on a specific holiday (they have penguins, doves, and squirrels) so I can use them all winter long. Mabel’s Labels also offers stocking stuffer labels and personalized books for the holidays!
Now I just need to get stamps, and hopefully I can mail these out before Christmas…
