February recipe time. Get ready for a whole lot of pink, red and white. Valentine’s Day is around the corner and I have the food for you. Valentine’s Day and chocolate go together like peanut butter and jelly, so it only seems natural to make a Valentines Day Bark for a little something sweet to snack on. My husband and the boys ate most of this; I only had a little taste test. White chocolate isn’t really a favorite of mine, but making this with regular milk chocolate or dark chocolate didn’t seem as festive.
How easy is this recipe? So easy I am not even going to make a recipe card. It would take more time than I would take to just type out the instructions. I took a bag of white chocolate candy melts and melted them. I poured the melted chocolate into a small baking pan that I had previously lined with parchment paper. Be sure to smooth out the melted chocolate as best you can with a spatula. I used about a half of a bag of Valentine’s Day M&Ms and pressed the M&Ms into the chocolate. I also used a little bit of red sprinkles to dust over the white chocolate before placing the baking pan in the fridge. Keep the pan in the fridge for at least an hour for the chocolate to set, preferably longer.
After an hour or so, remove the now solid chocolate bark from the fridge. I lifted out the parchment and peeled it down before removing the chocolate to break it up into smaller pieces. While breaking the chocolate apart some of the M&Ms rolled off, but I just pressed the escapees back into the chocolate and kept moving. I placed the broken pieces back into the baking dish to keep in the fridge so the pieces didn’t melt, but they were gone before they even had a chance to melt!
